Dr. Khadijah Sakaba Honored with Influential Visionary African Women Award in Casablanca

Casablanca, Morocco — In a landmark recognition of her humanitarian efforts and dedication to youth and women empowerment, Dr. Khadijah Musa Sakaba, founder of the Khadijah Sakaba Empowerment Initiative, has been awarded the Influential Visionary African Women Award at the Visionary African Women Summit held in Casablanca, Morocco.


The award was presented by Dr. Hind Elguermai, President of Visionary African Women, in acknowledgment of Dr. Sakaba’s outstanding contributions to community development, humanitarian service, and the advancement of empowerment initiatives across Nigeria and Africa at large.

Her flagship program, the Kebbi State Business Expo, has grown from just 45 vendors at inception to empowering over 1,000 vendors across Northern Nigeria, making it one of the region’s largest platforms for entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

Speaking after receiving the award, Dr. Sakaba expressed gratitude, saying:
