TThe Khadijah Sakaba Empowerment Initiative (KSEI) is a transformative non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and youth across Nigeria, with a primary focus on Kebbi State. Founded in 2017 by the visionary humanitarian Dr. Khadijah Musa Sakaba, the initiative is rooted in a strong commitment to social impact and sustainable development.

Since its inception, KSEI has worked tirelessly to bridge economic, educational, and social gaps by providing opportunities and resources for marginalized communities. Through strategic interventions, advocacy, and skill-building programs, the initiative has conducted over 100 outreach programs in rural areas, impacting thousands of lives.

Casablanca, Morocco — Founder of the Khadijah Sakaba Empowerment Initiative, Dr. Khadijah Musa Sakaba, was among the distinguished speakers at the just-concluded Visionary African Women Summit held in Casablanca, Morocco.


Taking the stage before an audience of influential leaders, policymakers, and changemakers from across the continent, Dr. Sakaba shared her journey as a humanitarian and advocate for women and youth empowerment. She expressed her deep sense of gratitude and honor at being invited to speak at such a prestigious platform.

In her remarks, Dr. Sakaba emphasized the importance of resilience, unity, and the transformative power of women’s voices in shaping Africa’s future.

Casablanca, Morocco — In a landmark recognition of her humanitarian efforts and dedication to youth and women empowerment, Dr. Khadijah Musa Sakaba, founder of the Khadijah Sakaba Empowerment Initiative, has been awarded the Influential Visionary African Women Award at the Visionary African Women Summit held in Casablanca, Morocco.


The award was presented by Dr. Hind Elguermai, President of Visionary African Women, in acknowledgment of Dr. Sakaba’s outstanding contributions to community development, humanitarian service, and the advancement of empowerment initiatives across Nigeria and Africa at large.

Her flagship program, the Kebbi State Business Expo, has grown from just 45 vendors at inception to empowering over 1,000 vendors across Northern Nigeria, making it one of the region’s largest platforms for entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

Speaking after receiving the award, Dr. Sakaba expressed gratitude, saying:

“This award is not just a personal milestone but a reminder of the work that lies ahead. It inspires me to continue building initiatives that uplift lives, provide opportunities, and drive positive change in our communities.”

Free Medical Outreach in Kawara community of Kebbi state

THE KHADIJAH SAKABA EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE RECENTLY ORGANIZED A FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH IN THE KAWARA COMMUNITY OF KEBBI STATE.

As part of its efforts to create medical awareness among the residents. During the outreach, the local population, which were mostly women and children, was educated about the importance of seeking medical attention when necessary.They were also provided with information about various common ailments, their symptoms, and the importance of early medical intervention.

Additionally, the outreach program also focused on providing palliatives such as food items and other essential resources, which were distributed. This gesture was aimed at alleviating the immediate challenges faced by those living in vulnerable conditions.

The Khadijah Sakaba Empowerment Initiative’s FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH not only addressed the urgent healthcare needs of the community but also educated the locals on the significance of regular hospital visits. By providing accessible healthcare services and essential resources, the initiative aimed to uplift the overall health and well-being of the Kawara community in Kebbi state.

Juma’at Mosque and Tahfizul Qur’an Center Construction Commissioning by KSEI

In the quest to promote Islamic knowledge and activities, Haj Khadijah Musa Sakaba has commenced the construction of a Juma’at Mosque and Tahfizul Qur’an center in Kawara area of Kebbi State.

The project will not only serve as a place of worship but also as a hub for Islamic education and activities in the community. This initiative will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the local Muslim population by providing them with a dedicated space for spiritual enlightenment and learning.

The noble project was commissioned by Alh. Muhammad Sani, the Kebbi State Commissioner on Religious Affairs, with the support of Alh. Bashir Garba Illo, Alh. Abubakar Dakingari, among other prominent individuals.

The celebration of the International Day for the Girl Child by ๐Š๐‡๐€๐ƒ๐ˆ๐‰๐€ ๐’๐€๐Š๐€๐๐€ ๐„๐Œ๐๐Ž๐–๐„๐‘๐Œ๐„๐๐“ ๐ˆ๐๐ˆ๐“๐ˆ๐€๐“๐ˆ๐•๐„ at ๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ ๐๐ž ๐ฆ๐š๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ ๐š๐œ๐š๐๐ž๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐€๐›๐ฎ๐ฃ๐š brought together inspiring women from various fields, ksei members, and other like minds to celebrate and support girl child education.

She emphasized that education is not only a fundamental human right but also a catalyst for economic and social development.

๐Œ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐€๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐š ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ฒ๐š , a renowned mental health advocate, shed light on the mental well-being of young girls, and the importance of addressing mental health issues from an early age. She emphasized the need for adequate support and resources for girls’ mental health.

๐๐š๐ซ๐ซ. ๐…๐š๐ซ๐ข๐๐š ๐ข๐›๐ซ๐š๐ก๐ข๐ฆ, a sitting magistrate spoke about legal protection for the girl child and the significance of upholding the rights of young girls in society. She stressed the importance of providing a safe and enabling environment for girls to thrive.

๐€๐ซ๐œ. ๐€๐›๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ก๐ข ๐ฌ๐š๐ค๐š๐›๐š, a prominent figure in the Khadijah Sakaba Initiative, shared success stories and achievements of the organization in promoting girl child education and welfare. He encouraged individuals and organizations to join hands in supporting this cause.
